Guy MERCIER
Former Head of GBS Services Strategy and Operations – Solvay
Senior Strategic Advisor Shared Services Operations and GBS

Recently having been promoted as services strategic leader for Solvay group, Guy has more than 10 years tenure in Shared Services industry having built from scratch the first Solvay 3S in-house shared services center in Lisbon, then in Curitiba and in Bangkok. He’s currently Head of Worldwide Services Delivery operations at Solvay Business Services – the new GBS organization of the Solvay Group he created in 2013, leading a team of 1.300 operators, process experts, and managers throughout the world.

Previously founder and General Manager of Solvay CICC treasury center based in Brussels, Guy supervised and ran all short-term treasury transactions for Solvay affiliates in the world. He was also posted in the US for 8 years a VP of Finance & IT for Solvay Polymers Inc. in Houston and Solvay Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Atlanta

He had personally covered all aspects related to global leadership and SSO strategy: from process redesign to build business cases, from location selection to launch the first SSC in Solvay, to deliver at the end 46% total costs savings. He’s now in charge of globalization, simplification and digitalization of the 4 captive shared services centers to extend their service value- proposition, to improve their customer centricity and to make them more agile.

Anthony DiCAPRIO
Senior Consultant & Managing Director, Leadership & Value Creation Expert – Bridge A1 AG

Dr. DiCaprio’s experience spans more than three decades in operations, management consulting and human resources development. He has practical experience in a wide number of industries across the globe, and has delivered measurable results in the projects he has undertaken.

Dr. DiCaprio is fluent in 3 languages and is a graduate from Loyola College in Montreal. He has completed postgraduate studies at La Sapienza (University of Rome) and Arizona State University. He taught at McGill University in Montreal for more than ten years in organizational effectiveness.

Author of several publications on organizational effectiveness and service, his last book is « Vendre Gagnant-Gagnant », which discusses how to provide value in a hypercompetitive market. He is often invited to deliver keynote speeches to business managers at conventions or global meetings. His main areas of focus are competitiveness and differentiation, continuous improvement management, leadership, change management, negotiation, and organizational effectiveness.

Gabor ARKOSY
Senior Consultant, Specialist Shared Service Centers and Outsourcing – Bridge A1 AG

Mr. Arkosy has over 30 years’ experience, thereof 15 years in the area of Shared Service Centers and Business Process Outsourcing.

He led complex multi-country SSC and Outsourcing Transitions from proposal to implementation in the pharma, insurance, real estate, automotive and other industries. Project focused on Finance and Accounting, Order Management, Procurement, Travel Expense and insurance claims processing.

Agnes SIMAY
Specialist Support Functions Optimization, SSC / BPO – Bridge A1 AG

Ms. Simay has successfully participated to Business Transformation jobs in the Pharmaceutical, Energy & Utilities and Automotive sectors. She has acquired more than 10 years of experience in highly demanding, complex international environments focusing on Shared Services Centers and Business Process Outsourcing. In particular, she has obtained a vast know – how as Transition manager on behalf of a major global Pharmaceutical company and successfully transitioned several Central Eastern European countries to an external provider.

Adam MISIAK
Specialist Customer Service, Logistics and Supply Chain – Bridge A1 AG

Global operations leader with +25 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, procurement, strategic sourcing and production control in multicultural and multilingual environment gained from automotive, industrial, FMCG and freight forwarding sectors. Mr. Misiak has strong track record of successful project implementations and cost reductions initiatives driven through operational excellence, change management and continuous improvements as well as negotiations.

David STOKES
International VAT Expert – Accordance
David is one of the founders of Accordance.

He is a qualified accountant (FCCA) of many years’ experience and prior to focusing on VAT he was Financial Controller/Finance Director of companies in the heavy engineering and IT sectors. This enables him to see VAT issues from a different perspective. He successfully completed the VAT Forum’s ‘Expert in European VAT’ course in 2005 and is now himself a partner of the forum.

He specializes in the understanding of cross-border VAT transactions and leads Accordance’s ERP VAT Transaction Analysis and Electronic VAT Compliance Implementation projects. David has worked closely with many major international companies to secure commercially beneficial and compliant VAT outcomes.

Andy SPENCER
International VAT Expert – Accordance

Andy is a highly experienced indirect tax professional who has worked in VAT for thirty years. He joined Accordance in 2009 and is involved in delivering major international VAT projects for blue-chip clients, bringing expertise in both structural compliance and commercial efficiency. Andy specializes in providing clients with bespoke VAT advice that help them develop into new territories with the appropriate controls in place to manage VAT effectively. Andy has developed expertise in international VAT throughout his career and has advised on a broad range of issues in a large number of countries.
